Choice arrived with us at the end of March 1980 after purchasing her from the Friars Stud as a 4 week old foal in 1979. Choice has won too many prizes to mention during her 23 years and has given us some lovely daughters, not to mention the immense pleasure we have had showing and breeding from her. There are currently six of Choice’s daughters currently in the stud, Ruperra Charm, Ruperra Crystal, Ruperra Cariad Llwyd, Ruperra Catrin, Ruperra Chablis & Ruperra Choice.

Rosebud came to Putwell in 1995, although it wasn’t the first time we had met – she originally came to South Wales in the same trailer as her half sister F. Choice in 1980, but was sold on by her owner, Les Evans at a later date. Rosebud was in foal when she arrived and produced a beautiful chestnut filly, Putwell Rhoslyn by Minsterley Leon. Another filly, Putwell Rosemary, owned by Jackie Wilson, Exeter is also a prizewinner in the South West area. |
By Springbourne Herian 20660 and out of Friars Choice 64956, Charm had a successful career in the show ring before being retired a few years ago and is the dam of Ruperra Concorde, Ruperra Catkin (both by Putwell Carreg Llwyd) and chestnut filly Ruperra Chiffon by Blaenau Discovery. |
Rhoslyn came to us as a gift as her dam, F. Rosebud was in foal when purchased. |

A delightful mare who in her first showing season won 6 firsts, 1 second, champion, res female champion and res champion in 7 outings. Catkin is by Putwell Carreg Llwyd and out of Ruperra Charm (full sister to Ruperra Concorde). |
